The primary duty of the Road Chair is to report issues with the infrastructure of the community, report those issues to the board and provide input of how to remedy those situations and then carry out the boards decision of how to fix them. It is also the duty of the road chair to hire, schedule, oversee and inspect all work being done and submit contractor bills for payment to the treasurer. It is advisable to have another member which can be appointed by the board to help in completing this task.
The Road Chair should discuss the office with the incoming Road Chair and share any open and unfinished business.
The Road Chair is not required to be a sitting position on the board, however it will be necessary to work closely with the board to complete the tasks required.
