Duties of President

As the president of Pilot Mountain your last duty in office is to instruct the incoming board on how to run their first meeting.
- Calling the meeting to order and explain the structure of a meeting.
- Instructing the new members to appoint board positions
- inform new board of business that is open and has not been settled

Your first duty as the new President is to aid in appointing the new board positions as well as a road chair and website administrator 
- Instructing Secretary to update elected board members contact information on website
- instruct new board members to read the bylaws of Pilot Mountain 
- Instruct new board members to read their page stating their specific duties of office


- instruct each new member to contact their offices predecessor to be informed of that officers open business

Read bylaws to familiarize yourself with the responsibilities of the office.

From the Pilot Mountain HOA Bi-laws dated 6.13.89.....
"The President shall be the principal executive officer of the Association and, subject to the control of the Board of Directors, shall in general supervise and control all of the business and affairs of the Association. He shall, when present, preside at all meetings of the members. He shall sign, with the secretary, an assistant secretary, or any other proper officer of the Association authorized by the Board of Directors, any deeds, promissory notes, mortgages, deeds of trust, bonds, contracts, or other instruments that the Board of Directors or by these by-laws to some other officer or agent of the Association, or is required by law to be otherwise signed or executed, and in general he shall perform all duties incident to the office of president and other duties as may be prescribed by the Board of Directors from time to time."
