The primary duty of the Assistant Treasurer is to assist the Treasurer in handling and recording the finances and expenditures of the HOA.
The Assistant Treasurer should discuss the office with the incoming Assistant Treasurer and share any open and unfinished business.

From the Pilot Mountain HOA By-laws dated 6.13.89....
"In the absence of the treasurer or in the event of his death, inability or refusal to act, the assistant treasurers in the order of their length of service as assistant treasurer, unless otherwise determined by the Board of Directors, shall perform the duties of the treasurer and when so acting shall have all the powers of and be subject to all the restrictions upon the treasurer. They shall perform other duties as may be assigned to them by the treasurer, by the president, or by the Board of Directors."
